Juan Cabral is a film, advertising and music video director.

He wrote and directed the groundbreaking Gorilla advert for Cadbury — voted Favourite Ad of all Time in the UK, and is the creator of the Sony Bravia Trilogy (Balls, Paint and Playdoh).

His breathtaking advert for Ikea —Beds— was awarded Best Crafted Commercial of the Year by BTAA and also voted Best Campaign of the Year by Campaign Magazine. In 2016 he was nominated by the DGA — Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials.
He recently directed the Rolex 2019 Oscars campaign featuring Martin Scorsese, Alejandro Iñárritu, Kathryn Bigelow and James Cameron.

He has been written about in the Wall Street Journal, The Independent, The Guardian, The Times and Esquire Magazine and was also included in The Evening Standard London's Most Influential People list.

He’s won every major award in advertising, including over 25 Cannes Lions and two Cannes Grand Prix.
Juan Cabral’s debut feature film Two/One received its premiere at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival. It stars Boyd Holbrook, Song Yang, Zhu Zhu and Beau Bridges. Variety described him as an “undeniably talented filmmaker”, while Hollywood Reporter said “Grounded, stylish filmmaking. A solid demonstration of his skill.”
The film released globally on Mubi in 2020.

He is represented by CAA as a director for feature films and by MJZ for commercials worldwide. He is developing other film projects, scripts and TV shows.
